Draft of the Village of Chadds Ford Master Plan
Attention Chadds Ford Residents: Please join the community as we work to make the Chadds Ford Village a sustainable and walkable place. Read the DRAFT of the Chadds Ford Village Master Plan and send your comments and questions. Comments by the public are solicited from March 18 through April 15. The final plan presentation is on May 20th at 7 p.m. here at the Chadds ford Historical Society.

Historic House Tours, Antiques and Lunch

Fee is $32. Join the Society’s past president, Dr. George Franz as he guides you on historic tours of the John Chads House & Springhouse, c.1725 and the Barns-Brinton House & Tavern, c.1714. These houses are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Please gather at the Chadds Ford Historical Society's Barn Visitors Center, at 10:30 am. (1736 N. Creek Road). The group will walk over to the John Chads House, located directly across the street, then take a short ride to the Barns-Brinton House (630 Baltimore Pike). Afterwards everyone can enjoy antiques and lunch in the historic White Barn Carriage House: The Mushrooms Cafe, located at 880 Baltimore Pike, Chadds Ford. 1st Annual Massive Barn Market

Co-sponsored by the Chadds Ford Historical Society and the Brandywine View Antiques, Admission is free. Put on your comfy shoes and head down to the Chadds Ford Historical Society for a fun day of shopping. There will be 50 quality vendors offering unique collectables, vintage items and antique goods. Plus a variety of food trucks will be on hand serving up everything from gourmet specialties to all American standards including desserts and other treats. This is an outdoor event that takes place rain or shine on the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society’s Barn Visitors Center.
Special Exhibit: Come to the Faire!
50 Years of Chadds Ford Days

The Chadds Ford Historical Society is marking its 50th anniversary of the Colonial Faire, Chadds Ford Days. Begun in 1958 as a way to raise awareness of the historical and cultural heritage of the area, the celebration has grown over the years from a one day to a two day event. Throughout the years the event has remained true to preserving the area's colonial roots with revolutionary re-enactors, authentic colonial crafts and demonstrations as well as an art exhibit which exemplifies the unique cultural heritage of Chadds Ford begun by the Wyeths.
This new exhibit will celebrate this birthday. Using objects and photographs from the 50 year history. It will mix one part history and one part nostalgia with some fun thrown in for good measure. The exhibit runs through December 5.
The 3rd Annual Spring Yard Sale will be held Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society 1736 Creek Road, Chadds Ford. The Society will be accepting donations of household items, kitchenware, china, dishes, jewelry, books, small furniture, tools, artwork, toys with no missing pieces, etc.. Please do not send clothing, encyclopedias, textbooks or reference books, DVDs, computers, TVs, exercise equipment, paints, baby items such as cribs, strollers, car seats, games and toys with broken or missing pieces, bedding and mattresses or any plug-in appliances.

Barn Visitors Center, Meeting Room Rental
